Preparing Your Quilt for Quilting

• Trim away extra threads
• Press top and backing (extra charge if not pressed)
• Allow an extra 4 to 6 inches on all sides of backing
• Piece backing if needed Press seams open on backing on pieced backings
• DO NOT BASTE LAYERS TOGETHER
• Helpful if you stay-stitch along outside edge of quilt top 1/8 in. to 1/4 in. to reduce stretching (especially if there are bias cuts)
